You’re only going to be effective if your personal Universe is accurate and in sync with reality, and no one is perfectly in sync with reality.
If you want to create change that matters, you can’t afford to go on believing that Universe is one way when it’s not. You have to be a truth finder. You have to be willing to have your whole view of the world questioned and found wrong.
Does being open to the idea that you could be wrong mean that you ARE wrong? No. But you have to treat your knowledge like it could be wrong. That’s the trick. You have to be open to, and even look for, examples that go against what you think you know.
Maybe that sounds scary. I know a lot of people whose sense of self-worth is tied to what they think they know. But you can’t learn less. Being open to new ideas means you’ll ultimately know more than you did before.
It can be exciting. Finding out you’re wrong about something opens doors and creates opportunities to learn and go deeper.
