The internet is a network, made up of numerous sub-networks or subnets.
Getting away from the technical implementation of that, our systems of truth are also subnets of the larger conversations going on. We can lament that social media is largely devoid of truth, but even social media is threaded by individuals and organizations that respect and participate in the pursuit of truth.
The scientific community is an example of a network of individuals and organizations that are dedicated to seeking truth. They’re connected by their commitment to the scientific method, open dialog, clear thinking, and an understanding of the human tendency to jump to conclusions.
There are other communities and networks committed to seeking metaphysical or spiritual truth. Again, they’re united by their skepticism of dogma, their commitment to open dialog and clear thinking, and an understanding of the human tendency to believe what we’re told, sometimes over our own direct experience.
While my blog and other writings are not truly scientific in nature, nor are they focussed on the spiritual, they strive to respect and seek truth. I hope that my work will be seen as an honest attempt to report the truth as I see it, with an open mind and a willingness to be wrong.
