Sometimes I’m surprised at how old I am.
Maybe it’s what everyone goes though in a mid-life crisis, wondering where all the time went and why we haven’t accomplished more. In my case, I happened to have a newborn child at about the same time which I think veered me off the normal track of wanting to buy a sports car and relive my youth. Instead, I’m left wondering what I can still do in the time I have left to make the World better for my kids.
It’s true that life is short, and it can pass by without you really noticing. It’s also true that it’s never too late to get started. Back when I was 28, I decided to start learning to play the guitar. At the time, I felt inferior to all those people who started playing when they were teenagers and already had ten years experience. But I reasoned that if I started as soon as I could, it wouldn’t be too long before I could say I had one, five and pretty soon ten years of experience. You have to start sometime.
Why not start today. Find some little thing that needs doing and do it.
