Jumping on the spiral

You can’t solve a complex problem on your first try. It’s an iterative process.

Ideally, we rethink the problem again and again, building better solutions each time, and each time, bringing it in line with current understanding and need. I call this a spiral of progress.

Our ancestors addressed the problems they were faced with with the understanding that they had. We think of their mistakes causing many of our current problems, but they moved the process as far forward as they could.

Now, we’ve jumped on the spiral, and it’s our turn to take it to the next level.
